Lukasz and Bozenna, the husband and wife Design Duo behind the creation of the OPERA COLLECTION, first met during their student years at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, Poland. After graduation they went their separate ways, only to meet again years later.
The story of their lives and talents continues to unfold in Los Angeles, now their home; their creations, however, are reaching a growing number of enthusiastic patrons around the world.

Bozenna. After several years of designing exhibits and trade fairs, turned toward interior and graphic design and established her own successful studio in Warsaw. She has always been drawn to fabrics, fashion, and uniquely designed textiles. She produced several haute-couture shows of her own, in which she transformed artistic patchwork into unique clothing or translated motifs from her paintings into appliqués on evening dresses. All along she has been very active as an artist. Her paintings, drawings and tapestries have been shown  in numerous galleries in Europe, Japan, and the USA.

Lukasz also started in Poland by designing exhibits for trade fairs, later worked there as an interior designer, but then left for the United States. In Los Angeles since 1980, he worked at a nuclear power plant (!), then returned to interior design and also started designing lamps. Over a number of years he has designed, manufactured and marketed lamps made of paper, fiberglass, metal and stainless steel wire mesh.

The Duo. After reconnecting and getting married in 1996, Bozenna moved to Los Angeles and the Boguckis became design partners. In the summer of 2000, while working on the next line of lamps, they were inspired by the fine, silk-like wire mesh to create unique, elegant handbags. To adapt it to make delicate handbags was not an easy task. For months they experimented with this specific and demanding material, learning its behavior and properties.

After few years of exploring, they still are fascinated by the material and there is no end of ideas that bring them joy and creative satisfaction.
